In White House speech, NYC student attributes his success to CFY

This past Friday, Josniel Martinez, a 7th grade student from East Harlem, was invited to the White House as the lone student-representative to tell his story about how digital learning changed his life. He was introduced by Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3), who authored the legislation that launched the Digital Promise.

Josniel and his school participated in the NYC Connected Learning Program in which CFY is the lead partner. In his speech, Josniel attributed his academic success to CFY and digital learning, which made for a compelling opening to the launch of the federal Digital Promise center. Click below to see his speech and introduction of Secretary Arne Duncan.
